Younes mixed fun, laughter, charm, experience and authority to perfection throughout our tour.

We highly recommend  doing a tour with Younes and we would gladly back up these words if asked.

Value, authenticity, knowledge, flexibility was our experience of Morocco with Younic Tours.

Three of us travelled with Younes in January 2025 from Marrakech through the High Atlas mountains to Merzouga and then to Essaouira and departed from Casablanca.

We had met Younes by chance in Melbourne and from this meeting came the trip to Morocco.  The tour was shaped around our timetable and aspirations guided by his experience and knowledge.  We trusted his sense of our discussions to book accommodation and transport.

A small group like ours is challenging, as your guide needs to be more than a guide, they have to become one of the group too.  It is now hard to think of Younes as a guide, without doubt he is now a friend.

We stayed in great accommodation, which was evocative of Morocco and value for money, our adventures were layered with his knowledge and love of Morocco and as he learnt about us, he adapted the itinerary to suit.  Aside from the extraordinary sights, sounds and people of Morocco, we wanted to taste the food.  Younes listened and then took us to amazing food stops.  We tasted the joy of Moroccan food in roadside stops, cafes and venues that I would never normally walk into.

On our return, many friends first question was, “Did you feel safe?”  The simple answer was “Yes” and we began to realise how important Younes’ planning and management of our group, of our itinerary and of our many adventures was.

Value, authenticity, knowledge, flexibility was our experience of Morocco with Younic Tours.

In November-December 2023, it was my great good fortune to be part of a small group tour of Morocco, conducted by a Younes from YouNic Travel.

I had never been to Morocco, but had heard about it from friends and family. It turned out to be way more than I expected, a fascinating country, a bit smaller than NSW, but huge in its variety, full of surprises. I could easily have stayed the whole time in Marrakech, where we started and finished the tour, but that would have meant missing out on so many other amazing places.

Some examples!

Beautiful Essaouaria on the Atlantic coast, visiting a women’s argan oil cooperative on the way. Casablanca with the deeply impressive Hassan 2nd mosque (and driving past the fake Ric’s Bar!).  The very moving Mohammed 5th mausoleum at Rabat.  Chefchaouen, the lovely ‘blue city’. The Roman ruins at Volubilis, Fes with its amazing, bewildering, exciting medina! Morocco’s high country at Ifrane (the ‘Switzerland of Morocco’). The Sahara, sleeping right beside the sand dunes, seeing the sun set in the west and the full moon rise in the east, surrounded by warm people, sand and dromedary camels. The High Atlas. Morocco’s Hollywood. Todgha Gorge. Farming in the desert sand. Ingenious ancient and still functioning irrigation. Beautiful accommodation wherever we stayed.

And always the people. We were there not long after the earthquake, and a number of local people actually thanked us for coming. In some other countries I’ve visited, the local-tourist nexus has at times appeared to be purely transactional. In Morocco I got the strong sense that Moroccans are (justifiably) proud of their country and genuinely want to share it with visitors. You should go, and you should go with YouNic Travel.

Younes is a Moroccan born Australian, and has been a tour guide for many years, not only in Morocco. He speaks multiple languages. He knows his country and its history intimately. He has the competence and confidence that come only from expertise and thorough preparation, evident both in leading up to the trip, and throughout it.  He never appeared to be rushed; even though we covered a lot of ground, there was never any sense of stress. He’s a great guide, and he provided a truly unforgettable experience.I couldn’t recommend YouNic travel more highly. Ann Cooper, Australia

TESTIMONY TO:

YouNic Travel – Mr Younes Boudis

We did a 10 day tour of  Morocco with a small party under the expert guidance of Younes in October 2019.

As Younes is now a Moroccan living in Australia, he is very familiar with both worlds and easily accommodated for our ways.

As he lived in Morocco and worked as a tour guide for many , many years before  immigrating to Australia, he knew many people in every place we visited in the country which got us into exquisite and amazing nooks and crannies to savour the charm and beauty of a land full of wonderful landscapes, architecture different completely to our own, and charming people and foods and sauces and spices and markets everywhere.

Although Younes always made sure we were safe, never once did we feel threatened in the least; in fact we were killed with kindness throughout the magnificent country.

We rode camels in the desert, drove through high mountains and cities, towns and villages of all varieties, walked where others have walked for millenniums, ate in wonderful restaurants and slept in Riads and hotels and Inns.

Younes mixed fun, laughter, charm, experience and authority to perfection throughout our tour.

We highly recommend  doing a tour with Younes and we would gladly back up these words if asked.
